2012 State of The Union

<> Announcement: I created and wrote this temporary blog The Weekly Affairs With ATNH in my real name Anhtuan Nguyen Huynh.

Because of my current financial difficulties I, Anhtuan Nguyen Huynh, am seeking the public donations for my upcoming independent website. If anyone with good conscience in far away places like Britain, Germany comes across my blog and interests in my future website, please send the donations to my business mailing address in downtown Reno only:

                                                      P.O.Box 3842
                                                      Reno, NV 89501

To those considering the donation option to me, my promise is that I shall return the donations in full within a year after the inception of my independent website, not a penny short, plus dividents.
Please donate!
To some Americans whose intentions are worst than a devil's, I don't need anything from them. Seriously.

<> My state of the union "prebuttal":

Under the Obama watch I, Anhtuan Nguyen Huynh, experienced the looting and peddling of my Tintin, one of my precious childhood cartoon series, by some coward Americans whose names I need not to mention.

The latest Tintin statistics. The Adventures of Tintin is the billion dollar movie if the sequels are made.

Remember this, any orchestrated cover-up in any shape or form is much worst than the Tintin looting & peddling crime itself.

<> Payback Time: I, Anhtuan Nguyen Huynh, would like to see Newt Gingrich become president of the United States this year. Plain and simple.

2/17  -  Presidents' Day 2012

Last Tuesday 2/14 was lover's day. Next Monday is Presidents'. The materials for political entertainment are almost unlimited.

Example: With due respect, Bill Clinton is considered by many one of the finest presidents in American history.

Pres. Bill Clinton under oath

I was in college in Virginia back then. What still fascinates me to this day is the journey of Bill Clinton's sperm to Monica's dress.
These questions have remained unanswered: Did Monica Lewinsky suck Bill Clinton's d**k? Were they delicious like biscuits and gravy?

<> 2/21 - Oscars 2012

                                                       - Meryl Streep in The Iron Lady -

In The Iron Lady, I revisited those unforgettable moments. During the Falklands war in the early 80s, as a kid I was glued to the BBC Radio for developing news twice a day, @ 6am before riding the bicycle to school and @ 9pm at night.

<> George Clooney's The Descendants - Brad Pitt's Moneyball: Both were good. In term of social impact the Brad Pitt movie stood out. The cinematic realism was evidently on display in it. Before and during Billy Bean era the Oakland A's have been known for developing the young and unknown into good, terrific players. From Reggie Jackson Rickey Henderson Mark McGwire to Jason Giambi Tim Hudson, etc. The Oakland Athletics always been something special woven into the MLB fabric.

3/11 <> 2011 - 12 NCAA Basketball Tournament

Sports and politics should NOT be mixed. Unfortunately they do in this country. In the Republican primary season with Mitt Romney, a Mormon running for the GOP nomination, this year's March Madness should be put under the microscope. The religious imprint on past tourneys was evident in the Mormon influenced CBS Sports. Will there be different this year? It is unlikely. The only good thing in past tourneys was that they emphasized on the basketball fundamentals. This year's tourney draw considered somewhat flawed from the outset unless the selection committee published the selection criteria for the public to see.

Example: Florida State, this year's ACC champs having registered a 2-0 vs. UNC and 2-1 vs. Duke respectively, was seeded #3 in the East Region, while Duke #2 seed in the South. Similarily, the case of St Bonaventure, A-10 champs @ #14, and Xavier beaten by St Bonaventure @ #10.

The Fun Center: Having watched the annual tourney in the last 2 decades, I've lost the appetite for the tourney. My picks are for fun:

<> Elite 8:

South Region: Kentucky & Duke  <>  West Region: Michigan State & Murray State
East Region: Wisconsin and Florida State/Ohio State  <>  UNC and Kansas

Note: This UNC team is 100% Roy Williams team, good but thin on team defense. Last month, Feb 2, UNC head coach Roy Williams attended the San Antonio Spurs game @ the Alamo Dome for many reasons, one of which was to incorporated the NBA defence into his Tar Heels. For the record, his UNC Tar Heels have registered 10 wins and 2 losses since Feb 4, beating Virginia twice and only losing to Duke at the buzzer and today's ACC final to Florida State. Good luck to Roy Williams' UNC in the tourney.

<> National Semifinals:

Kentucky  <>  Michigan State  <>  Ohio State/Florida State  <>  Kansas

<> National Champions:  Michigan State

3/16  -  Day 2:

<> Today's guarantee of winning: Missouri Duke Michigan State Florida State and Kansas
<> Saint Louis - Memphis: the Missouri Republican contest is coming up. CBS Sports will decide this one for their own.
<> Today's tossup: Belmont - GT, Virginia - Florida, NC State - San Diego State
